Laura Newton - Parent Governor

I joined the governing body at Long Buckby Infant School in October 2016 as a Parent Governor.

I have lived in the village since 2002 and already have had 2 sons that have been through the door of the Infant school and 1 in the school now that is benefitting from the outstanding introduction to education Mrs Dugdale and the whole team at the Infant School provide.

I decided to become a school governor as I wanted to give something back to the school and understand more about the school, how it is run and the teaching methods within the school.    

I have worked in the Financial Industry for the last 25 years in Retail Banking and hope that my experiences and skills are transferable to my role within the governing body.
