This small friendly school, positioned in the centre of the village is for children aged 4-7 years. The Head Teacher, Mrs Dugdale, leads a team of four class teachers,  an administrative officer and four learning support assistants. The school is also lucky to have the support of many parents and friends working on a voluntary basis in school. Strong liaison exists between the Junior School as well as the local pre-school groups.

The October 2007 OFSTED report describes us as a "good school" and "outstanding" in children's enjoyment of learning.

The school prides itself on providing a caring community where children learn in a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment. The school enjoys a lovely playground setting where the children are able to appreciate the natural environment. The National Curriculum and Foundation Stage programmes are delivered in an integrated fashion to enable children to benefit from the experiences offered. The school is well equipped with a variety of apparatus ranging from computers to modern reading books and learning equipment.
