Michelle Baker - Local Authority Governor

Resources, Health and Safety, Performance Management

I was appointed as a local authority governor to LBIS in July 2014.

My professional background is in banking.  I have worked for the same financial institution for nearly 25 years, starting in Branch Banking and working my way up.  Currently I am a Lead Implementation Manager, delivering projects of varying size and complexity across an operational business.

I decided to become a school governor as I wanted to use the skills I have developed over my career to put something back into the community.  I’m also keen to learn new skills and becoming a school governor is the ideal way for me to experience operating in a completely different environment from the banking sector.

I live in Northampton with my husband and a varying number of chickens that roam our garden!
